Ahhh, remember the Lobster Jook at Hing Lung Restaurant in San Francisco?
A few months back I wrote about introducing a tv crew to the joys of eating jook for an upcoming PBS show called Breakfast Special. Read all about it here, or better yet, you can watch it this Wednesday, July 14th at 8 pm on most local PBS stations, click here for the SF/Bay Area schedule. OMG it’s my 15 seconds of fame…
Oh my god! That is so exciting! Darn it, my TiVo doesn’t work anymore but I am gong to see this I swear! (and we must get together for a meal again soon)
Drat! I wished I read this a couple hours earlier. Oh well. I’ll have to hopefully catch it on a repeat. Carolyn Jung´s last blog ..A Visit to Two Australian Wineries
You ROCK!!!! We truly enjoyed watching you on tv! I shared your awesome website to a bunch of my closest friends!
Hope to see you this coming weekend!!!! (Yep, I’m flying up to Oakland tonight…mom and Roy are already there.)

carolyn, the other breakfasts featured are worth it!
ligaya, shucks.. can’t wait to see you guys!
bonibella, there are some amazing restaurants featured
Foodhoe, I thought it was interesting how they cut away just as you were about to eat the 1,000 year old egg. So spill it, did you really like it or did you make a face!? I actually like that jook too, it’s a classic! I love how they shot you getting all excited taking picture of the lobster jook! Single Guy Ben´s last blog ..Top Chef- Season 7- Episode 5
Single guy, I have found peace with those onyx black and jade green eggs, and that was probably the best one I ever had! The jook and the fried bread was amazing, and we enjoyed superb service on that particular day. And yeah, I admit that I did get pretty excited about that lobster
I finally watched the show on my dvr. Funny thing is that I’d eaten there right before your original review, but didn’t try the jook! Great seeing you.
